In this session, Eva will teach the basics of confessional writing. What is it? How can it help us to cope with being childless not by choice? Whether in personal essays, poetry or autobiographical fiction, you will leave with the tools you need to write yourself remedied.

Eva Asprakis - Cyprus

Eva Asprakis is a contemporary fiction author based in Cyprus. Her latest novel, Thirty-Eight Days of Rain, explores the tole of infertility on its protagonist’s marriage and mental health.

Drawing on her own experiences as an adoptee with polycystic ovary syndrome, Eva wrote a compelling story - which helped her come to terms with her own. She has been named as one of Fifteen Authors to Look Out For in 2025, and Thirty-Eight Days of Rain is currently shortlisted for the Ink Book Prize.
