PANELLISTS
Meriel Whale - UK
Meriel Whale is a counsellor, writer and teacher who has been childless since her fertility and adoption journey ended in 2016. She lives in Lewes with her partner and two cats and wants to make it easier for childless people to heal and move forward with their lives, knowing they are worthy.
Karin Enfield-de Vries - Benelux
Karin Enfield-de Vries is a grief and loss counselor, transformational coach, and advocate for the childless community. Born in The Netherlands in 1978 and now residing in Belgium with her British husband, Karin's journey has been shaped by both professional success and personal adversity.
After spending her 20s working, traveling, playing music across Europe, and finding love, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer at 33, which led to the end of her dream of motherhood.
Through her business, Pure Transformations, Karin offers counseling and coaching in both English and Dutch, with a special focus on the grief associated with childlessness. Central to her work are the principles of truth and choice, guiding individuals to live the life they truly desire, rather than the one they feel resigned to. Additionally, Karin volunteers as a guest speaker for cancer trusts in the Netherlands, raising awareness about the long-term impacts of childlessness after cancer.
Catherine-Emmanuelle Delisle - Canada
At the age of fourteen, I was diagnosed with unexplained early menopause without having reached puberty. I learned I would never be able to have biological children. I also knew right away adopting was not the path for me: grieving was.
In 2012, I decided to be vocal about my experience as a single childless woman through my bilingual blog (French/English), Femme Sans Enfant. I am now a TRA, Therapist For Relationship Assistance ™ and World Childless Week Ambassador based in Montreal, Canada and I help childless women accept and embrace their lives through one-on-one therapy and workshops.
