Without delaying or hesitation I want to congratulate Vita Stiģe-Škuškovnika as the World Childless Week People’s Champion for 2022.
Her nominations shared the emotional support she has given alongside the following:
She has changed her PhD topic to CNBC issues in Latvian Higher education. She has written at least 3 scientific papers and took part in 2 conferences, about terminology and issues regarding CNBC in Latvian and acceptance. She has proposed new translations of phrases that did not yet have a translation to National Language committee and got them introduced as official translations. During this year she has been on National TV project and written a life story article on national web portal and made herself public and vulnerable.
Vita was shocked at being nominated expressing that Latvia is such a small country. I explained it is not about the amount of nominations but the acts of an individual that have made a positive emotional impact on someone.
If you’d like to know a little bit more about Vita and hear about some of the work she has done and hopes to do, she is participating in the webinar: Employers and Policies: How to bring Childlessness into the Conversation. You can also follow Vita on Instagram @dzivebezberniem
I’m honored and thrilled about this title because I really didn’t expect that. It came as a wonderful surprise at the right moment of my life. At the beginning I even didn’t believe that. This kind of evaluation gives so more motivation and confidence to continue what I started, that the work I’m doing from all my heart is appreciated and seen. I feel happy if I helped someone or made to feel better.
Thank You! You are not alone!
On behalf of myself and all the Ambassadors I want to thank everyone who took the time to send in a nomination, and finally say again ”Congratulations Vita.”
Love & laughter
