Today was Mother’s Day.
You feel so close, but are so far away.
Far away from what I imagined.
I imagined your face, your laugh, cries and giggles.
I imagined you having your father’s smile and us both holding you tight.
Kissing you good morning, and goodnight.
How I wish that it isn’t just my imagination and that we were blessed to give you life.
Whilst the reason that we never had you will never be known,
Our love for the family we could have been will never grow old.
