Everyone knows about the elephant in the room which are topics / issues we are aware of but choose to avoid talking about. However, we have found that when it comes to male childlessness there are many thoughts, feelings, & behaviours that are packed away in a suitcase and hidden; sometimes even from the man himself. Join us in this webinar as Dr Robin Hadley and Anne Altamore attempt to unpack this much hidden area in the CNBC world.

PANELLISTS
Anne Altamore - Australia
Counsellor, Psychotherapist & Coach, combines lived experience, academic qualifications, and practical experience to support people who are childless not by choice.
Having spent several years on the IVF roller coaster, she is all too familiar with trying to understand (and not always succeeding) the male mind when it
comes to childlessness, from working through the shock of a diagnosis of infertility, to dealing with grief and loss, to making decisions regarding a childless not by choice future.
A commitment to 'healing loudly because she suffered silently her whole life' has led to being brave to seek out and voice answers to the hard questions so others may know they are not alone.
Robin Hadley - UK
Robin is a leading expert on the psychological and sociological impact of male childlessness across the life course.
He is from Old Trafford, Manchester (UK) and comes from a large working-class family and left school with few qualifications. His previous careers include counsellor, deputy technical manager, scientific photographer, and kitchen assistant.
Robin’s training as a counsellor and his own experience of desperately wanting to be a dad led him to research the desire for fatherhood for his self-funded MA (2008) and MSc (2009) and involuntarily childless older men for his PhD (2015). His research has been widely published in international and national media and his book ‘How is a man supposed to be a man? Male childlessness a Life Course Disrupted’ has received critical acclaim.
Robin is a founder member of the campaign group Ageing Without Children.
