Healing Hearts

A 4 (to 12) month CNBC Community with workshops for women grieving being permanently CNBC

You reluctantly joined this club that none of us wanted to be part of and are permanently childless not by choice or by life circumstance. This may have happened recently or decades ago. While your grief feels more manageable (most days), you still find yourself easily triggered. You are actively searching for a safe and nurturing space where your losses will be understood, acknowledged and respected. You have a deep longing to be part of a tight-knit community of like-minded women who provide support, compassion and understanding as we navigate a similar path. Your desire is to let go of anything that no longer serves you and discover inspiration as you explore the question, "What now?"

Expected time: Thu 10am PST/1pm EST/6pm UK/7pm Europe

Frequency: 2 x Monthly (7 Sessions) Starting in September

Session Duration: 90 - 120 mins (total of 12 hours)

Location: Zoom

Sandra McNicol

My name is Sandra McNicol and I am permanently childless, not by choice too. I, therefore, have first-hand experience of the multi-layered challenges of being childless. While we are all unique and have very personal stories, I empathise with how hard our journey is and offer you safe and non-judgmental support from a lived (and in progress) experience.

As a coach and grief therapist, I offer empathetic and grief-aware sessions to women from across the globe, who are childless not by choice. I provide compassionate support and inspiration to help navigate the unique challenges we face as we move forward in our unexpected lives without children.

TESTIMONIALS

This group is unique in that it is small enough that we can all meet up and get to know each other and it’s been such a safe place to bring our vulnerable selves. Sandra has done such a great job at facilitating and making sure we all get a chance to feel heard. Honestly this group has been such a lifeline in the darkest days.

For me the balance of the dark and the deep with light hearted laughter in that the first zoom call was the spark I needed to start to see hope in moving forward. For me the group is still that balance, a reminder of my need for self care and balance, I never feel judged or silly, when I leave a catch-up even if that (feeling judged) was the driving factor to making time to attend that day, be it induced by external events or my own negative internal dialogue.

Actually this was the 1st time I ever spoke to anyone about this and told my story. All my friends have children, literally ALL of them, so does my sister, and I didn’t have anyone to share it with, until now. Thank you.
