Living without kids still carries taboo, stigma and negative stereotypes. These societal beliefs are often ingrained in us, from messaging we hear both as children and as we navigate our own experience of being childless.
In this panel discussion, we'll chat about how to deconstruct the messages we've been told and how to cultivate self-worth on our own terms.

Alisha Saavedra - US
Alisha Saavedra (she/her) is living childfree after infertility. She shares openly about how following the social and cultural pressures to have children didn’t allow space to acknowledge her ambivalence towards parenthood.
After wading through her childless grief, she is finding comfort in embracing the “both and”, where grief and glimmers that bring joy and peace coexist.
Discovering her power within childlessness has prompted her to begin bringing awareness to the unique experiences of our intersectional identities, specifically what it is like to live as an only child, experiences post-traumatic growth, and being a Mexican-American woman who is childless.
Tiffany J. Marie - Canada
Tiffany J. Marie (she/her) lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband Phil and their two 'fur kids', Audrey and Luna.
After being diagnosed with infertility Tiffany was longing for positive community and connection, being unable to find that online, she decided to create a space herself.
Her writing and community strives to create an atmosphere for both childfree and childless people to connect and engage without the negativity and hate that so many other communities display.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking, yoga and watching (not so) guilty pleasures like Twilight and Harry Potter.
