Yvonne John - UK
Yvonne John is the author of ‘Dreaming of a Life Unlived: Intimate Stories and Portraits of Women Without Children’ (2016). As an activist and public speaker Yvonne has appeared on numerous radio and television programmes, including ‘Woman’s Hour’ on BBC Radio 4 and the Myleene Klass:
Miscarriage & Me documentary, to talk about her experience of recovering from the devastating grief of involuntary childlessness.
Yvonne is a graduate of Gateway Women (GW) year-long Plan B Mentorship programme and is a trained facilitator of the GW reignite weekend workshops.
Yvonne is passionate about creating an inclusive space for black women and women of colour openly talk about their childless journey, is the leading voice on the childless WoC’s experience of infertility and blogs at Finding My Plan B.
Civilla Morgan - US
Civilla Morgan has a wide-ranging background which includes hospitality, healthcare, and financial services. She was a stockbroker for several years and loves to discuss the markets and market strategies. Civilla has a Master’s degree in Management, with a concentration in Marketing, and currently works as a licensed insurance agent.
She was born on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean, and raised in New England–Massachusetts and Connecticut. She likes to say she has two hometowns!
Civilla says that despite her experiences, she believes she has found her calling in her podcast, Childless not by Choice. For the last eight years, she has been encouraging childless not by choice women and men globally, to realize that they can live relevant and joyful lives. Civilla says she does not have much time to relax. But when she does the beach, any beach, is her happy place!
Haneefah Muhammad - UK
Haneefah is a Soul-Based Coach and a Registered Mental Health Practitioner. She is also an author, exploring themes like social justice, spirituality, identity in her work. Her first book The A-Z of Stress Solutions published in 2015 provides practical ways to identify and manage stress at work and in our personal lives.
Haneefah started writing poetry for her own enjoyment. She has pursued her interest and is now a spoken word artist, performing her poems locally, in London and in Amsterdam. In 2019 Haneefah self-published a collection of poems titled My Soul Purpose; Haneefah uses poetry as part of her own well-being practice and says, “poetry is music to my soul”.
Haneefah lives in the UK where she is involved in local groups promoting women’s self-empowerment; she speaks to individuals, groups and organisations about the power of using our inner resources for self-compassion, self-healing and personal growth.
