Arooj Akram is a Doctoral trainee in health psychology at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU).
She is looking to promote her study regarding infertility in women from ethnic minority backgrounds. This research aims to raise awareness of how infertility impacts women from ethnic minority backgrounds, and also aims to explore the role of coping strategies and emotional regulation. The findings from this research could be helpful to increase medical professionals knowledge in relation to the impact and significance of psychological distress from infertility encountered by ethnic minority women.
This research has obtained ethical approval from Glasgow Caledonian University and supervised by Dr Jan Smith.
