When the thought of Christmas and its associated images (the perfect family Christmas, babies’ first Christmas, and all of those picture-perfect ideals) triggers you to feel upset, excluded and joyless, there is a way to remove the power of those triggers so that you don’t react to the triggers.

Imagine not thinking about those images, and focusing on how you can find some pleasure in the lead-up to, and during, Christmas. EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a talking/energy therapy that focuses on the physicality of those triggers – the lump in your throat, that sinking feeling in your stomach, the ache in your heart – and shifts the energy so that you no longer feel that way.

We tap on acupressure points on the hands, head and upper body to do this. If you’re interested in letting go of these physical reactions, join the free online session to learn how and why tapping works, and to let go of the triggers at this time of year, so that you can cope with Christmas.

Please bring a large glass of water, and be seated in a warm and comfortable place.
