The Changing Seasons Of Grief

Debbie Grant

The Feminine Tree represents the changing seasons of our grief.

Our grief starts out as the Autumn with the shock and disbelief; the tree shreds her leaves as bit by bit our grief hits us. Then Winter arrives, our grief, the anger and depression is felt right to our very core as we move inwards.  Then comes the Spring as we start to find a way forward to work through our grief and the new buds of life start to appear.  Finally, the Summer arrives, now we start to come to some form of acceptance of our new life, how it looks different from what we expected our life to be.  We are able to begin to find new ways of living.

All the time through the seasons of change we have our roots buried beneath the ground enabling us to grow stronger and become more resilient.
