To move forward, I had to stop making big changes and release expectations around external factors that I thought could fix me and fill the loss.
The images on the left symbolize how I first coped with the grief and loss. Now, I have better learned to find solace in my life as it is and peace with my story. The images on the right symbolize what has been helping me find solace and peace: building meaningful connections with others who get and/or can hold space for the grief and loss; reconnecting with nature; spending time with animals; focusing on simple pleasures; exploring the world around me and not being afraid to go off course; letting go of shame and finding deeper ways to heal my body and soul; feeding my curiosity; reawakening my creative side.
