Our hot air balloon falls slowly from the sky.
“Chuck her out”, they shout, “she's worthless extra weight!”
So out I go, a childless sacrifice.
Their balloon still plummets,
unkindness dragging it down.
Drifting down, I’m strangely weightless,
my trauma, gilded with resilience.
My fall’s slowed by others who’ve been pushed, their voices strong and clear in the air,
“You’re worthy and always enough!”
I land softly knowing...
I am enough, we’re all enough!
