What if this is all the love you ever get?
Snow Patrol is my favourite band and I was lucky enough to win tickets to see them at a very intimate gig last year. They played the song, "What if this all the love you ever get?" and it spoke to me about my childlessness and makes me cry every time I hear it. In this video, the lead singer Gary Lightbody sings it with powerful simplicity and you can feel that he's been through his own struggles too.
The line that resonates most with me is, "Come on over, Come on over here, I'm in the ruins too" and that sums up the power of World Childless Week to me - to us childless women finally finding our tribe, finally finding understanding, support and empathy.
Coming together and getting stronger not necessarily to change the world or other people's ideas, but slowly, quietly, strongly feeling better, feeling understood, feeling like we are worthy.
