The New Kitchen

September 15, 2025 Stephanie Joy Phillips

L Harris

As he grouts the white marble tiles

Our builder helpfully reminds me

That there are no children in this house

To mess up the new kitchen.

He carefully engraves into the granite worktop

“Only The Two Of You, To Do As You Please”.

He can’t see the red throb of the Aga.
