The webinar will be in the form of a conversation with one or two other panellists who have experience of writing their own stories.
We will share how our various experiences of writing helped us to understand, process and grieve our childlessness. I will explain how, years later, as I write my book about moving forwards from childlessness, I have rediscovered my notes, journals and diaries. I will share how these have enabled me to reflect back on how far I have come and to realise that my story is worthy of being written and shared.
In sharing what I have learned, I hope to encourage webinar participants to consider that their own stories are worthy of being told, in their own written words. I will include some writing exercises during the webinar and suggest some prompts for further writing.
DATE: Saturday 19th September

PANELLISTS
Sarah Bradley - UK
Sarah Bradley, from Gloucestershire in the UK, describes her journey through childlessness as one of the toughest challenges she has faced. As a life coach, she supports childless women, men, and couples to find a way through the loneliness and
isolation of childlessness, to create a happy life without children. Sarah works with women who are single and childless in her SIN+CH coaching groups, where they challenge stereotypes, build self-confidence and encourage brave decision making. She is now writing a book about Moving Forward From Childlessness, which will include her experiences, her clients’ stories and coaching exercises.
Cristina Archetti - Norway
World Childless Week Ambassador
Cristina is author of Childlessness in the Age of Communication: Deconstructing Silence and The Trauma of Infertility: The Experience of
Involuntary Childlessness , two books that uniquely combine academic research with her own story (both are available for free in open access). She also wrote and performed “Embodied,” also based on her personal experience. Cristina is a Professor at the University of Oslo (Norway). She is also a psychotherapist specializing in trauma, and has been World Childless Week Ambassador since 2018.
Lynsay Fullerton - UK
Lynsay is a secondary school biology teacher who is childless not by choice, following four cycles of IVF, two using donor eggs. In the years since, stand-up comedy and creative writing have become an unexpected source of confidence, connection, and community. Neither is about her childlessness — but both have given her something she feared she’d lost: a sense of purpose, and a legacy of her own making.
