My Family Tree Stops With Me: Practical Tools for Building Branches and Purpose

When infertility takes the future you imagined, it doesn’t just take children. It takes your identity, your timeline, and the story you thought you were living. Most of us were never taught how to grieve that -- or how to build something new from it.

This webinar walks attendees through a framework for moving from surviving your childlessness to actually reconstructing a life that feels like yours again. We’ll cover how to identify what you lost beyond the obvious, how to separate your grief from your identity, and how to start building new branches of purpose without pretending the old ones didn’t hurt. And you won’t just be hearing one voice. We’ll bring in real stories from women who have lived this…because sometimes the most powerful tool is knowing someone else found their way through too. You’ll leave with concrete next steps (not cliches, not “have you tried yoga to relax”) but actual tools and tips you can use to figure out who you are now, what matters to you, and where you go from here. Whether you’re newly navigating your childlessness or years in and still searching for solid ground, this webinar meets you where you are.

PANELLISTS

Sandy Langhart Michelet - USA

World Childless Week Ambassador

Sandy is an author, speaker, and childless not by choice advocate who helps women feel seen,

supported, and understood…because childlessness may be one part of our lives, but it is never the whole story. She believes women can build beautiful, meaningful, joy-filled lives even while carrying grief, and she isn’t afraid to say the quiet parts out loud.

As the founder of The Childless Life, a private global Facebook community of more than 3,600 women and a World Childless Week Ambassador, Sandy creates spaces where women show up exactly as they are. No pretending. No shrinking. No explaining. Her debut book, My Family Tree Stops With Me: A Guide to Purpose and Possibility, offers encouragement, solidarity, and a fresh vision of legacy beyond motherhood, with the warmth and wit you’d expect from someone raised in South Louisiana.

Jamie Cooksey - USA

Jamie is a certified life coach who helps women navigate identity shifts and create meaningful next chapters in the second half of life. Her work is deeply informed by her own experience of involuntary childlessness following three pregnancy losses and

the years it took to make peace with a life that looked very different from the one she once imagined.

Jamie understands that moving forward doesn’t mean pretending the grief never existed. She believes it is possible to honor what was lost while also becoming curious about what life can still hold. Through coaching, conversation, and her own lived experience, Jamie encourages women to rediscover who they are beyond the roles they expected to fill and to give themselves permission to imagine something new. She is the founder of Bayou Dream Builder Consulting, LLC, and lives in Louisiana.
