SHORT EXERCISE FOR THE LEGACY WEBINAR
Thanks so much for watching the legacy discussion & for downloading this short exercise. I hope it will assist you in probing a bit deeper into the concepts & issues we talked about in the video.
For me, the main idea was the importance of MAKING TODAY COUNT.
I also loved Michael’s suggestion of considering how many people may be at your funeral.
So I’ve designed these fewquestions to assist you in probing these a bit deeper.
Ideally, you’ll be sitting with your eyes closed whilst someone readsthem to you but instead you could sit quietly & consider each question in turn, or maybe you’d prefer to write your thoughts in ajournal. Whatever works best for you.
You may wish to take time to let this all sink in, perhaps going back to the questions over a few days until you have an overall picture.
And there are no right or wrong answers, please trust that whatever comes up for you, is what was meant to surface.
What’s your legacy questions
1.Close your eyes, imagine 5/10/15/20 years into the future & you’re looking back & reflecting on your life. Ask yourself:
What footprint did I leave?
What will my friends & family say about the way Ilived mylife?
Did I make the best use of what was put in my hands? (and if not what can I do differently?)
What impact did I have on others (& how could I have more)?
How many people do I think would be at my funeral?
What things do I do every day to make each day count?
What did I leave undone (& how can I do it)?
2.Once you have the full picture, ask yourself:
What’s missing?
What’s one thing I can do differently to have a greater impact on others, or to make each day count.
Thanks so much for your time, I hope you found it useful.
