When I found myself childless after fertility treatments ended, I felt a huge void. I had so much love to give and didn't know where to focus it if I couldn't be a biological mother.

I wanted a dog, but I carried a misconception that getting a pet would be viewed by others as a weird replacement for a child.

We welcomed Coco - our Mini Aussiedoodle - into our family in 2018 and I couldn't be happier to be a fur mom.
