Gifts to My Family and Others
Sorry I didn’t leave any grandchildren for you to hold.
Sorry I didn’t leave your children any cousins to play with.
Sorry I didn’t come up with a son/brother-in-law you liked.
No money either, sorry, but hey you have more of it than me.
Being sorry stopped, mostly, when I began to accept things as they are,
Not as I thought they should be. Now I try and let go and smile.
Yes, I do believe in a higher power and that at source we are all loved.
I read somewhere that “When your heart is broken enough, it becomes open”.
Perhaps that’s true. I work on finding things to be grateful for these days.
What I am happy to leave to you are all my paintings and creations.
(Well you did say you liked them!)
I am happy to leave you all my kind thoughts and blessings. I couldn’t have done this before.
I wish you all well.
Most of all I can finally say that I am glad to have shared time with you on this planet,
I am grateful to have known you.
When I think about it,
These are actually your gifts to me.
Thank you.
