About the WCW and the team
Who founded World Childless Week?
Stephanie Phillips had the idea for World Childless Week in 2017 and with the help of numerous childless bloggers and members of several online childless support groups, got this online event going.
Who is the World Childless Week for?
Anyone who is childless because they have never been pregnant (for any reason), not carried full term or have suffered the sadness of a baby born sleeping. All our Champions and founder Steph, represent our audience.
Who are the World Childless Week team?
The team are Stephanie Phillips, Michael Hughes, Vicky Page and Berenice Smith. We, plus a team of 3 other cnbc'ers who prefer to be our esssential back room team, are leading the future of World Childless Week. We're supported by the Champions.
Can I be a World Childless Week Champion?
We would love to hear from champions all across the world - but specificially in countries where we don't have coverage . We're very keen to have a global and cross gender team who are committed to support and promote the ethos of World Childless Week, get in touch with us to find out more. Yes we do, it's #worldchildlessweek
Can I create my own logo and images for my World Childless Week content?
Our design agency Hello Lovely, has already done this for you so there's no need. You can download images for Twitter, Facebook and Instagram here and we've also got a set of logos that you can place on your website. Using our images means our message is visually strong too.
Can I add my logos to my images or promote another campaign in my content?
We ask that all images are logo free as this is WCW's site though we're happy to work with links (see below) and that your content is aimed at our audience and is written with our audience in mind . Because there are so many awareness and campaigns, it's really hard to check that each campaign and those involved fit our ethos. We also have to ensure that the direction of other campaigns doesn't change because the circumstances of those involved changes too. All the WCW team and Champions place our audience first. However we're happy to add in a link to our support areas which are easier to check and kindly ask that anyone who does this, lets us know if their circumstances change.
Can I interview the WCW team for my blog, newspaper or publication?
Yes you can. Please contact us with a few details of what, when and where and we'll be right back in touch with you, Let us know if you'd like to speak to a specific member of the team or one of our Champions. You can also find most details on our Media page, including logos and our endorsed social media images.
How do I share material with you?
You can write an article and send it to the team at World Childless Week . None of the personal data is read by anyone other than Steph if it's sent in confidence. We are also GDPR compliant in our data storage.
If you already write or blog elsewhere, you are more than welcome to share your post with us at the same time as you publish your material on your own site or a few days later. Please include backlinks to this World Childless Week website and send us the link on our contact page so we can post here and broadcast on our social media channels. We will not cross-post pieces that are old or no longer relevant to our audience. World Childless Week runs from 10th to 16th September 2018.

No, that's not necessary but if you have one you'd like to share please let us know in your article or tag us on Instagram.
How many words can I write?
We suggest 500-800 words because this is best for web content and UX. Bullet pointing is really helpful to keep attention. Walk In Our Shoes has a great list of writing tips for websites from blog writers.
No one has to be a professional writer or artist.
Depending on the amount of submissions we cannot guarantee that everything submitted will be used, but everything has an equal chance.
Can I submit a video?
Absolutely! Our website loves video. Just send a link from Youtube, Vimeo or your Facebook Live video code (learn how to get your Facebook video code here and send us the Full Code Example). If you want to get involved in a Facebook Live or generally don't mind being filmed then get in touch.
I run a blog, can I copy your material for my own site?
Material published on www.worldchildlessweek.net is the copyright of World Childless Week. This means that you're welcome to share a link to the article you like (i.e. www.worldchildlessweek.net/faq) but you can't copy and paste text from this site into your site without checking with us first.
I never write, I don't have a blog, can I be involved?
Yes you can, in fact we'd really love you to be involved! We hope the majority of posts will be from people who do not write blogs. This will help to give people who do not normally speak out a chance to have their voice heard. Any blogs that are not posted but fit fully with the daily topic, fall in line with the ethos of World Childless Week and are not a conflict of interest will have their link included on the appropriate day with a short intro.
Someone has asked me to write an article about World Childless Week for their website but they aren't from WCW.
To make the most of our media contacts and leverage the content which make our voices heard, we ask that your contributions are exclusive to World Childless Week and your personal blog. Once the week is over you are welcome to publish with other commerical publications or third party websites but ask that this is always accompanied by the World Childless Week logo and link. This also pleases Google which dislikes duplicate content and penalises sites who may have had good SEO ratings, plus it's not good form to take the content of another website. We know that there are enough topics around childlessness for us all to be original, informative and creative.
