I created this in a place of great emotional pain. In the piece you can see many elements that are quite animal-like, scales, teeth, tentacles, eyes. All writhing around each other, all-consuming and dangerous.

At the time I felt all-consumed, fearful and overwhelmed in my childless journey and not knowing what way to turn; I still (at the time) felt some hope of still exploring having a baby on my own with donor sperm. This is represented by the “light” at the end of the tunnel the far right of the picture which is a representation of the sun and hence some light.

I since made the decision that going it alone was not the right path for me
