Patricia (Trish) Faulks - UK

I’m Trish Faulks and my dog is Lilley.

Justmeandlilley is the name of my blog.  I write about my childless life as an ageing and alone person.

Born in the city of Leicester UK, seventy-plus years ago I, along with parents and then hubby, moved to Lincolnshire UK, in the 70s’. Lots of water/bridges later and now divorced, I was running my own estate agency in the town of Skegness, before selling it many years later and retiring for a while (then went to work again. Love to work!).

My then partner of many years died and I was alone. But fine until covid hit and isolation became the norm. Except I was without children or family. And I became angry at society for its ignorance. So I started my blog. To try and inform people about folk like myself. Ageing without children.

The only child of an only child, Trish is childless due to infertility in her early twenties. She and her then-husband tried to adopt but were turned down and she learned not to speak of her childlessness to anyone due to the awful comments people would make.

Trish is a also a #NomoCrone. A group of Childless Elderwomen from all over the world that Jody Day, founder of Gateway Women, gathers around the Zoom fire each Solstice and Equinox.
